The Vila America congregation is looking forward to the day they can have worship services in their own building. They have met in members´ homes for almost three years and are rejoicing that the work has begun! Here are a few pictures we took at the end of March. This is really the fellowship hall, but it will be used as the sanctuary for now. We hope to build three Sunday School rooms on the 2nd floor. After the church has grown and has more financial resources we intend to build a worship center beside this building.

In the street in front of the church looking to the right…and on the other side of that white truck….
two long rows of houses like these! There is such a need in this area for a Bible preaching church!
Dave went out there last week to help pass up concrete to the workers. Here are the latest pictures of the church…
Please continue to keep this church in your prayers! Thank you so much!

WOW! that’s some pretty good progress on the church, and that is one long row of houses! is that your new car there in the first picture? we’ll be praying for the church and for the people there in the neighborhood!
Hi Dave, Tina, and kids,
Yes, I have to say that is some good, amazing progress on the church. The brick work looks fabulous! Do they lay them one brick at a time? (Don’t mind my ignorance.)
After working on a small (very small) project in my house, I realize how much work, energy, effort, and time is needed to get something done. We are remodeling an 11 ft. X 8 ft. area in the family room that has taken us 2 months so far. We also enclosed a 4 ft. X 6 ft. pantry. We insulated the walls, hung drywall to make these two rooms, we put sheet rock in the ceiling, and added some electric outlets. It has been quite fun, but extremely time consuming. The rooms are painted, and now the furniture is being built to make some counters and desk space. Can’t wait until we will finally finish this. Rick says we are 75% done.
All that to say, the church is looking wonderful! I can’t wait to see it when it is all done. How long do you think they will take? I am praying for the workers and all the people in the community who will be blessed to have this place to gather in to worship the Lord! His will be done! Blessings to all!
Love you guys!
